Position Summary
Position Overview The department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Hospital Dentistry OMFS /HD) at the Indiana University School of Dentistry IUSD is seeking to fill a fulltime 1.0 12month clinical track faculty position at the rank of associate professor with specific emphasis on orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine. Teams & Clinical Care that Empowers If you excel working in both a teamoriented established clinic and have specific experience in the management of patients with orofacial pain and sleep disorders this opportunity you do not want to miss. This position gives you the chance to change the lives of both pediatric and adult patients through your clinical care and instruction. You will help build and strengthen our team through participation in specialty specific clinics predoctoral and resident didactic teaching and education and developing the schoolwide service to patients with these clinical conditions. You will impact the trajectory of our students through student resident teaching and staffing of clinics. Close working relationships with allied health providers exists and opportunities for collaborative teaching and research are available at IU Health affiliated hospitals and other Indiana based health care systems. Our main facility includes a stateoftheart 45000squarefoot James J. Fritts DDS Clinical Care Center on the IUPUI campus adjacent to local hospitals and part of an urban academic health center. We deliver a wide range of services and outreach to more than 20000 patients per year. IUSD enrolls approximately 800 students annually in degree and/or certificate programs in dentistry allied dental programs PhD and advanced dental specialty programs tailored to current and future needs of the professions and the communities we serve. The IU School of Dentistry is the only dental school in the state and educates 80 of the dentists practicing in Indiana. Over 12000 alumni of IUSD are pursuing careers throughout the US and around the world.
