Job Description

Our Foam manufacturing facility located in Phoenix AZ is currently hiring for Baler Operator

  • ** Hours are MondayFriday 5AM3PM**
  • **Hourly pay starting at $16.00/hr**

JOB SUMMARY

The Baler Operator is responsible for operating the assigned production line and associated equipment to ensure recycling requirements are met. This role involves monitoring and adjusting various production machines performing preventive maintenance and maintaining a clean and organized work environment The Baler Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and upholding safety standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Operate the baling machine and ensure the efficient removal of s foam from all Rebond processes.
  • Perform blend checks and make minor process adjustments as needed.
  • Perform visual inspections of fiber and finished rolls and offload and load wasted rolls as required.
  • Assist in performing preventive maintenance on equipment and document maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized production line ensuring proper disposal of product waste.
  • Assist in training new employees on operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Conform to the appropriate documentation work instructions work orders etc. for loading raw materials labeling packaging inspection and removal of process waste.
  • Comply with all safety rules and requirements and refer any unsolved safety issues to the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Efficiency and accuracy in operating baling machines and handling s materials.
  • Effectiveness in maintaining clean and organized production areas.
  • Timeliness and accuracy in performing preventive maintenance and documentation.
  • Communication and teamwork effectiveness.
  • Adherence to safety and environmental guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Ability to read write and interpret documents.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring continuous movement and lifting.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Warehouse/Manufacturing work in various weather conditions.
  • This position is physically demanding and involves working in a production environment.
  • Uneven surfaces up and down ramps stairs.
