Product Engineer (with Electronics Experience)
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Griffin Groupe is searching for experienced professionals for our client a global manufacturer of custom inductors transformers and capacitors for high technology applications. The ideal candidate will be a creative and enthusiastic engineer who will help develop specialized assembly processes including BOMs manufacturing instructions production routings special verification tests. Will also provide other production engineering expertise. This engineer will evaluate components from domestic and international suppliers and troubleshoot problems as needed to meet customer delivery requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE
- BS EE or equivalent on the job training serving in an engineering capacity
- Five to ten years of experience
- Strong technical base in
- circuit components including inductors resistors capacitors and transformers
- circuit analysis methods
- electrical instruments including DMM DSO power meters network analyzers programmable automatic test fixtures
- basic Electromagnetic Theory
- effective hands on methods to identify root cause and implement corrective action
- MS Excel Solidworks PSpice MathCad or other equivalent software
- Experience in management of key technical product data and working with latest ERP (Enterprise resource planning) systems is a key requirement
- Working knowledge of inventory management software
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- An analytical mind with strong math skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong experience in problem solving
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong leadership to motivate others in a team environment
- Ability to learn and grow in a fastpaced environment leveraging critical thinking skills
- Experience in manufacturing processes related to electromechanical assembly including soldering lead assembly and molding (encapsulation) is desired.
- Develop product ideas based on customer audience interests
- Identify customer problems and create functional prototypes offering a solution
- Coordinate prototype submissions with relevant personnel for approval
- Perform market analysis on competing products and brand
- Analyze market and industry trends and conditions
- Analyze feasibility cost and return on investment for product ideas
- Manage the budget requirements for projects
- Oversee the mass production of successful prototypes
- Other necessary manufacturing engineer skills include project management ability commitment to quality and familiarity with safety and environmental standards.
- Other essential quality engineer skills include problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
