Job Description Summary:
The Microfluidic Device Fabrication Tech performs standard fabrication microfabrication and inspection operations and their subsequent assembly in multistep processes. Ability to operate and maintain complex automated and semiautomated fabrication and inspection tools under limited supervision is required. With adequate training and supervision follows standard operating procedures and executes production of deliverable hardware. Such work will involve moderately complex manual skills and requires excellent mechanical aptitude and an attention to details with the ability to observe and make recommendations on process improvements.Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
Performs cleaning maintenance and or calibration of laboratory and equipment with limited supervision.
Operates complex equipment in the production of hardware using complex manual skills with training and limited supervision..
Documents their work consistent with work unit policy with limited supervision.
Performs focused training to enable progression into higher skilled positions at the discretion of the supervisor.
Other temporary assignments at the discretion of the supervisor.
Skills/Abilities
Able to communicate written and verbally.
Able to use Microsoft office applications.
Able to perform manual labor and operate automated and semiautomated equipment.
Education
Graduate from a 2 year technical school or applicable years of experience.
Experience
Either two years of applicable technical education and two years of applicable experience or four years of applicable experience meets the minimum requirement.
Additional Job Description:
Preferred:
Experience laser cutting parts and assembling complex microfluidic devices.
Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
