The Role

Be part of a highly successful rapidly growing global business that is leading the delivery of financial services via cloud computing and partners with some of the worlds largest companies.

We are looking for a passionate and analytical individual to join our Automation team. Our responsibility is to maintain the rules engine to ensure that each transaction is processed timeously and consistent with all relevant requirements.

You will be helping by finding new and creative ways of using technology to help grow our clients businesses. Along with creating and maintaining the rules engine and related software services you will be part of a dynamic and diverse team who loves collaborating knowledge sharing and challenges the status quo.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree preferred in Computer Science Engineering or Information Systems qualification advantageous
  • Knowledge of / experience within the financial services industry (preferably investment banking) advantageous
  • 2 years of working in a technical role and/or experience in business analysis
  • Formal SQL training advantageous

Technical / Special Requirements

  • SQL
  • Know how to read JSON
  • Knowledge of software testing
  • Experience with software implementation projects
  • Experience with process modelling tools and techniques
  • Experience with working in project teams

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a good understanding of existing processes
  • Ability to obtain a good understanding of the true requirement
  • Ability to conduct a proper impact analysis

  • Ability to conduct requirement workshops internally and with external clients
  • Curious to solve the problem holistically
  • Ability to clearly define requirements with all the required detail so the developer knows exactly what is expected
  • Creating of JSON format rules
  • Testing of all validations and logic within rules
  • Create simple rules that meet the requirement
  • Reuse rules if possible
  • Create variables if existing rules have different parameters/values but the same purpose and same validations
  • Ability to review colleagues rules and identify gaps
  • Identify root cause of the issue
  • Liaise with developers to get to root cause
  • Ensure problem is fixed across clients
  • Ensure problem wont reoccur
  • Ensure problem is fixed across all environments
  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders on root cause and progress
  • Compile test matrix
  • Do endtoend testing
  • Efficiently record test results
  • Liaise with developers if testing unsuccessful
  • Manage UAT cycle with all parties involved within the required timeframe
  • Assist internal and external clients with user testing
  • Provide training content and facilitate training for end users
  • Initiate change control and make sure change control requirements are met
  • Perform production support duties
  • Keep up to date with the latest and/or relevant technologies tools and methods. Identify adoption of processes technology and tools best suited to FNZ.
  • Proactively identify technical (environmental coding and testing) issues may impede test progress to enable early resolution of said technical issues
