Job Description

Summary:
The position of Superintendentrequires a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy. Drive determination and a selfdisciplined approach to achieving results that meet these established criteria are necessary for successful job performance. While the pace of the work is faster than average quality is never compromised. The focus of communication and organizational relationships is based on technical expertise. The work requires specialized technical problem solving and ingenuity while working within approved organizational systems and technology and the demonstration of the values of integrity quality and caution. Superintendents provide onsite as well as remote coordination for all phases of construction projects assigned including coordinating subcontractors materials equipment and employees under their direction. Hare Construction Superintendents are responsible for ensuring that specifications regulations and laws are being strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent shall also be responsible for scheduling inspections quality control and job site safety.
The position encompasses a defined span of control and opportunity for someone who engenders trust demonstrates a sense of urgency and assures consistent achievement of quality standards. The work requires making decisions that support company guidelines authoritatively and quickly.
The Superintendent reports to the Director of Construction or Project Manager as assigned by the DOC.
Core Job Duties:
- Schedule Hare Construction employees working at job site
- Schedule subcontractors vendors and all other individuals required to complete work on the job site. Will also ensure that scheduling is done in a manner which will lead to the timely completion of the project
- Coordinate require permits and inspections
- Identify and take action to correct subcontractor noncompliance with job site safety standards
- Ensure the cleanliness of the job sites
- Identify and communicate any job site issues with appropriate team members
- Provide job status updates as needed
- Perform stated duties at multiple job sites simultaneously
- Quality control
- Project Schedule
- Protect the Company and its culture from risk
Additional Responsibilities:
- Hold weekly job site safety meetings
- Assist in the hiring of job site employees
- Bachelors degree in the fields of construction architecture or engineering preferred
- Proven working experience as a project administrator in the construction sector
- Clientfacing and internal communication skills. Bilingual preferred
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- 5 10 years Superintendent experience
- Safety OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
