Key Responsibilities:
Pile Driving Operations: Operate PD10 pile drivers to drive piles for solar racking systems
and other structural supports. Ensure precise placement and alignment according to
project specifications.
GPS Technology Utilization: Use GPS equipment and software to guide pile driving
operations ensuring accuracy in positioning and depth. Interpret and follow GPS
coordinates and instructions to maintain alignment and specifications.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on PD10 pile
drivers and GPS equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation. Report any major
issues to the supervisor for prompt attention.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during operations. Conduct
preoperation safety checks and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation and setup of job sites including the verification of
site conditions and layout before beginning pile driving activities.
Coordination and Communication: Work closely with site supervisors project managers
and other crew members to coordinate activities and communicate progress challenges
and requirements effectively.
Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of work performed ensuring that all piles are driven to
the specified depth and alignment. Make adjustments as needed to maintain quality
standards.
Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of daily operations including the
number of piles driven GPS data equipment usage and any issues encountered.
Provide regular updates to supervisors and project managers.
Environmental and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pile driving activities comply with
local state and federal regulations including environmental and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience operating PD10 pile drivers or similar
equipment. Experience with GPS technology in a construction setting is required.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using GPS equipment for guiding pile driving operations.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine maintenance on pile drivers
and GPS systems.
Safety Orientation: Demonstrated commitment to safety with a thorough understanding of
safety protocols and procedures in a construction environment.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with
team members and report on project progress.
ProblemSolving Ability: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during
pile driving operations.
Physical Stamina: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy
equipment working outdoors and operating machinery for extended periods.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel to various job sites within the specified locations and adapt to
changing project needs and schedules.
Certification: Valid operators license and any relevant certifications for pile driving or heavy
equipment operation are preferred.
