Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) North Sector in partnership with the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry University of Alberta is seeking a qualified full time Anatomical / General or Hematopathologist with subspecialty training and expertise in the Pathology of Lymphoid Neoplasms to join the APL staff providing lymphoma consultation services for Northern Alberta and the oncologists at the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) in Edmonton Alberta. The successful applicant will also hold an appointment with the University of Alberta at a level commensurate with academic experience and productivity.
The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology functions as a Center of Excellence with a team of 96 pathologists and consultants supported by stateoftheart ancillary testing capabilities (immunohistochemistry flow cytometry cytogenetics and molecular pathology). The successful applicant will be an active member of the Edmonton Lymphoma Diagnostics Team. This group offers expert consultancy in lymphoproliferative disorders for all lymphoreticular and nonlymphoreticular organs (including GI skin and blood) throughout the North Sector of Alberta Precision Laboratories which is a whollyowned subsidiary of Alberta Health Services (AHS).
Teaching and interactions with a wide range of learners from undergraduate through postgraduate levels are part of this role. Participation in collaborative research is expected as well as the potential development of an independent research program in the area of lymphoproliferative diseases is available.

Minimum qualifications include a MD eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta with certification in Anatomic Pathology Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology General Pathology or Hematopathology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or recognized equivalence. The ideal candidate will have a recognized Fellowship in Lymphoma Pathology. Alternatively training in Hematopathology with clear emphasis on lymphoid neoplasms or equivalent (minimum 5 years) clinicalacademic experience might be suitable.
The ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced laboratory environment to deliver quality care is required to balance service teaching research activities and quality imperatives in a resourcesensitive environment.
