Overview
The ServiceNow Developer plays a critical role in enhancing and maintaining the ServiceNow platform within the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications including workflows and user interfaces.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Ensure system integration with thirdparty applications and services.
- Utilize scripting languages like JavaScript to enhance functionality.
- Implement and maintain best practices for ServiceNow configuration and development.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow applications.
- Conduct system testing and ensure quality assurance procedures are followed.
- Design and develop reports dashboards and visualizations within ServiceNow.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of ServiceNow releases and features.
- Build and update user documentation and technical specifications.
- Train and support endusers on system functionality and best practices.
- Monitor system performance and resolve any issues proactively.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support Incident Change and Problem Management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture and best practices.
- Proficiency in JavaScript HTML and CSS.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with database design and management (SQL).
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
- Effective communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Prior experience with ServiceNow modules like Incident Change and Problem Management.
- ServiceNow Developer certification is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
