Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will perform routine biomedical investigations and participate in daily scientific and technical activities within the laboratory. Your role will involve processing various specimens including microtomy embedding and immunohistochemistry while adhering to standard operating procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment managing stock control and ensuring accurate data entry. Additionally you will support crosssite working participate in training and competency development and communicate effectively with staff at all levels to maintain high standards of health and safety.
Qualifications and Experience:
Foundation degree or equivalent qualification in a scientific field
Demonstrated competency at a Higher Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA Band 3 level or equivalent
Significant experience working in histopathology or a similar pathology environment
Must have previous Microtomy experience
Excellent organisational skills
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
