DescriptionCarvers on 19 located on the top floor of the Hard Rock Hotel ishiring a Fine Dining Production Cook to play a vital role in delivering an exceptional culinary experience to guests. This position requires a strong understanding of culinary techniques attention to detail in food preparation and presentation and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced fine dining kitchen environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare food items for the assigned fine dining venue according to established recipes.
- Adhere strictly to standards for preparation portioning cooking and presentation of all menu items.
- Ensure excellent quality of all food produced and proper visual presentation.
- Maintain proper portion control ensuring adherence to recipes and timely preparation of all food products.
- Prepare the daily required quantities of food as instructed by the Chef.
- Ensure all food products are stored and maintained properly in designated areas to prevent waste and spoilage.
- Uphold the highest cleanliness standards for all kitchen operations equipment and tools.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment following all food safety protocols.
- Promote a positive and efficient work environment.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1 year of related experience in a kitchen environment preferably in fine dining or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to obtain a food handlers card.
- Knowledge of culinary arts and food preparation techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
