YOUR IMPACT

As a Senior RF Engineer II on the Video Products R&D team you will lead design and development of diverse wireless connectivity solutions for next generation Body Worn Cameras and other Video products. Whether it be integration of WiFiBT combo modules or detailed design of cellular chipdown circuitry from PCB to antenna port your expert knowledge of LTE 5G Wifi Bluetooth and GNSS circuits and systems will be applied to rigorous handson design development and testing of cuttingedge video products that are critical solutions for Law Enforcement and other customers.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Lead the RF design and integration of highperformance wireless subsystems for compact batterypowered devices (robotics platforms controllers and wearables) and other wireless hardware applications
• Design and optimize chipdown RF circuitry and integrate modules for technologies such as LTE 5G GNSS WiFi and Bluetooth technologies ensuring robust performance across complex multiradio systems
• Own the RF system architecture and from concept through mass production collaborating closely with crossfunctional teams including electrical mechanical and software engineering
• Partner with antenna engineers to select evaluate and integrate antenna solutionsprinted PCB or metalinto highdensity product designs
• Conduct RF system debugging interference mitigation and receiver desense analysis to optimize realworld performance
• Guide PCB layout for RF integrity performing detailed layout reviews and driving design recommendations to ensure optimal wireless performance
• Oversee technical deliverables from design partners managing schedules and ensuring engineering quality throughout the product lifecycle
• Characterize test and validate RF performance using lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers network analyzers radio testers and RF chambers
• Conduct realworld RF field testing to validate wireless performance capture KPIs and troubleshoot connectivity performance issues
• Translate productlevel wireless performance requirements into actionable RF specifications and test plans
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building internal RF engineering best practices

WHAT YOULL BRING

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering discipline
• 10 years RF design and integration experience
• 8 years designing and optimizing wireless solutions for massproduced batterypowered handheld mobile and/or wearable products (e.g. cell phones action cameras)
• 5 years designing chipdown cellular circuits (LTE 5G RedCap CAT4 and above)
• Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with complex multitransceiver wireless systems engineering integration and RF circuit design for 4G 5G multiband WiFi Bluetooth GNSS wireless technologies in portable mobile or wearable products
• Proven experience as a handson Lead RF Engineer including all phases of product design from concept to mass production .
• Proficient with technical oversight design reviews and management of RF design partners
• Proven ability to own multiple wireless design projects from concept to mass production
• Strong crossfunctional understanding of the challenges and tradeoffs in implementing multiple RF transceivers in complex highdensity mobile or wearable electronics
• Significant practical experience with RF debugging and receiver desense mitigation
• Strong handson proficiency with RF measurement equipment measurement techniques and evaluation criteria necessary to ensure robust and reliable wireless design
• Broad conducted radiated and field testing experience for cellular GNSS Wifi Bluetooth technologies
• Extensive experience with RF circuit and system characterization performance analysis troubleshooting and optimization
• Schematic design experience preferably using Cadence/OrCAD tools
• Skilled in guiding layout for wireless designs performing detailed layout inspections and issuing design recommendations
• Understanding of antenna theory structures selection and performance requirements
• Familiarity with industry standards and regional regulatory requirements related to RF design and certification (e.g. 3GPP PTCRB GCF FCC ETSI)
• Familiar with mobile network carrier requirements and related device approval processes
• Experience working within global crossfunctional engineering teams and mentoring junior engineers
• Strong documentation communication and presentation skills

SKILLS PREFERRED

• • LoRa integration experience
  • Familiarity with Qualcomm RF tools (QXDM QRCT QCAT etc)
  • PCB printed or metal antenna design experience
  • RF simulation and analysis experience
