• Advanced Materials Sustainable alternatives replacing pollutionheavy inputs
• Waste Cascading Transforming industrial byproducts into highvalue resources
• Carbon Capture & Utilization (CCU) Monetizing CO into fuels chemicals and materials

As we approach our first closing and move into the deployment phase we are expanding our team to accelerate our investments and help scale the next generation of DeepTech industrial champions.

Tasks

As an Investment Partner or above you will sit at the intersection of impact science and finance driving our mission forward through strategic dealmaking thought leadership and collaborative institutionbuilding. You will lead capital formation efforts engage deeply with LPs and represent the firm across the Venture Capital and DeepTech ecosystem.

• Investment : Spearhead the endtoend investment process including deal sourcing due diligence term sheet negotiation and transaction . Evaluate market dynamics business models and technological differentiation to identify scalable and impactful opportunities.
• Portfolio Support: Take board seats and work closely with founders to drive strategic growth. Support startups with fundraising business development team building and scaling operations.
• LP Engagement: Strengthen our capitalraising efforts by engaging with Limited Partners. Help nurture and expand our LP network and represent Marvelous investment strategy and mission in fundraising conversations.
• DeepTech Sector Intelligence: Refine and expand Marvelous perspective across our investment sectors. Conduct deep hypothesisdriven analyses to sharpen our investment lens and identify disruptive innovation trends.
• Community & Ecosystem: Represent Marvelous at industry events conferences and within the broader ClimateTech and DeepTech ecosystem. Build visibility share insights and foster meaningful relationships with founders researchers and fellow investors.
• Company Building: Shape the internal structure and strategy of Marvelous. Help define operational investment processes support hiring efforts and contribute to building a highperforming inclusive team and enduring firm culture.

Requirements

Were looking for a partner who shares our longterm commitment to reshaping industry through science and capital

Experience:

• 8 years of full cycle investment experience
• A strong track record in earlystage deal making beyond software/SaaS ideally with a focus on sciencebased ventures industrial innovation or hardwareheavy models
• Wellestablished network in the LP and VC ecosystems
• Experience in working closely with technical founding teams and supporting company growth beyond capital
• Experience in building a fund investment platform or institutional VC presence from the ground up is a big plus

Hard Skills:

• Strong investment judgment and analytical skills with the ability to assess complex technologies and business models
• Strategic mindset paired with operational capability able to define and implement structures workflows and priorities as we scale
• Experience with fund operations LP engagement and capital raising processes
• Language proficiency in English (German is a plus)
• Bonus: Understanding of public funding mechanisms (e.g. grants innovation subsidies) and their interplay with venture capital.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; confident representing the firm externally and in boardlevel discussions
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial fastpaced environment.
