We are in search of a Business Systems Analyst to join our team in the nonprofit industry located in New York. The role is focused on the technical assessment of our current system maintaining software and providing ongoing support. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive audit of our existing software to understand its current state
Document the system architecture of our software originally built on FileMaker Pro
Identify any technical debt within the software and propose solutions to address these issues
Collaborate with endusers to understand their needs and how they interact with the software
Provide ongoing support for software maintenance and user inquiries
Ensure that our software which catalogs and tracks brain tissue for the Autism Brain Net remains functional and efficient
Leverage your experience with FileMaker Pro to enhance the performance of our software
Work independently to perform a full technical assessment of our legacy system.
Requirements
Possession of a Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Systems or a related field.
A minimum of 7 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role within a nonprofit organization.
Proficiency in using FileMaker Pro and other relevant software for business analysis.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective systems and process improvements.
Strong analytical skills with a problemsolving attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise between technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Proven experience in project management and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Knowledge of nonprofit industry trends challenges and standards.
Experience in preparing and presenting detailed reports on business systems analysis findings and recommendations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
High level of discretion and confidentiality due to the nature of the role.
