Job Description
Certified Surgical Technologist Contract Position
Location: Rochester NY 14621
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Open to Local & Travel Candidates
Position Highlights:
- Shift: 12hr Nights 7p7:30a
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $1368 $1512
Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgical team during operative procedures
- Maintain sterile field and pass instruments to surgeons
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Participate in the turnover of OR rooms including cleaning prepping and mopping when needed
- Collaborate with RNs and surgical team for efficient workflow and patient care
- Ensure surgical equipment is cleaned sterilized and ready for use
- Handle instruments safely and anticipate surgeons needs during procedures
Job Requirements:
Certification:
- NBSTSA Certification required
- NCCT Certification accepted only if degree is from a CAAHEP or ABHESaccredited program in Surgical Technology
- BLS Certification (AHA) required
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience in an acute care facility
- Strong orthopedic skills must be able to independently perform total joint cases
- Vascular experience required in both hybrid and open surgical cases.
- Candidates outside a 50mile radius qualify for travel pay.
