Job Description

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Professional Performance Criteria

  • Assist in preparation maintenance repair and storage of equipment.
  • Assist in issuing equipment.
  • Assist in seeing that training rules are enforced and violations are reported.
  • Assist in seeing that injury and insurance reports are made and are on file.
  • Assist in maintaining the locker and equipment rooms in a proper manner.
  • Be at all practice sessions and all games or be available for a scouting assignment.
  • Assist with the checking in of equipment and in taking inventory.
  • Suggestequipment needstoActivities Director in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the administration and supervision of the towels locks and lockers used during the specific athletic season.
  • Check out equipment one 1 week prior to the first practice as determined by the IHSAA starting date regulation.
  • Provide orientation training and supervision of baseball coaches in grades 912
  • Assume responsibility for all baseball equipment in grades 9 12 to include purchase cleaning and repair equipment.
  • Submit a final inventory of all equipment to the Activities Director annually at the end of the baseball season.
  • Assume responsibility for facilities used during practices including dressing facilities and make supervision assignments among the baseball staff.
  • Submit all nonschool day practice schedules to the Activities Director.
  • Keep Bound updated with all statistics rosters scores and final season records.
  • Coordinate practice and game areas scheduling practice times and responsibilities with other staff members and the Activities Director.
  • Provide updated rosters through system in conjunction with communciation with the Activities Director.
  • Complete an End of the Season report form to be furnished by the ActivitiesDirector at the end of the season by September 1.
  • Assume responsibility for all equipment needed by the coaches and players on game days.
  • Be responsible for supervision of players conduct during pre and postgame timeswhile in the building and dressing facilities.
  • Submit transportation requests to the Activities Director prior to the first practice of the season.
  • Plan and supervise offseason conditioning programs in conjunction with the other head coaches and theActivities Director.
  • Attend all meetings called by the Activities Director and disseminate pertinent information to assistant coaches.
  • Will be involved in the selection process of assistant coaches.
  • Ensure all coaches attend baseball rules meetings.
  • Coordinate requests for audiovisual equipment and operators through the high school media director.
  • Perform otherduties and assume responsibilities as assigned by the Activities Director.
