Senior Production Lead

Job Summary:

This role requires effective time management skills strong leadership qualities and the ability to plan for/guide a Production team efficiently.

A Senior Production Lead supports daily operations of kitchen production. Working closely with the Kitchen Production Manager and Kitchen Operations Manager they provide on the floor management of overnight teams while monitoring performance. The Senior Production Lead is the first point of contact for a production shift and assists in facilitating effective training for new and existing team members. They ensure safety and quality standards are being maintained.

As part of kitchen leadership this person must be the example to all staff. The Senior Production Lead assists in carrying out the vision values and goals of FDB as the company continues to grow and introduce new products locations systems and processes.

Senior Production Lead and responsibilities duties:

  • Assist in building shift schedules and coordinate training shifts.
  • Responsible for ensuring coverage is found if a call out occurs.
  • Assists in implementing new production processes that include utilizing the FDB kitchen App.
  • Weekly individual meetings with the Kitchen Production Manager.
  • Assist in maintaining training documentation.
  • Assists in Monthly performance & wellness follow ups with team members.
  • Train and mentor Kitchen staff under the supervision of the Kitchen Production Manager.
  • Delegates tasks/operations to team members.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of management.
  • Communicate onshift issues to the Kitchen Production Manager.
  • Assist in keeping morale high and a positive environment within our kitchen.
  • Excellent product knowledge and ongoing education (i.e. ingredients allergens seasonal menu new menu items).
  • Accurately manage the daily work volume and then coordinate tasks by priority in order to accomplish designated workload within shifts timeframe.
  • Problem solve/troubleshoot immediate and necessary inventory issues/shortages and communication of those issues to Inventory Manager.
  • Oversees recipe implementation and ensures quality is per FDB/company standards.
  • Prepare bake and fry an array of bakery items.
  • Glaze infuse and decorate an assortment of pastries.
  • Tag organize and correctly designate trays/racks for various locations.
  • Responsible for Quality Control of all outgoing products on shift.
  • Utilize core values for necessary decision making and onsite troubleshooting.
  • Ability to handle minor mechanical malfunctions.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization for the entire work environment.
  • Troubleshoots issues and develops solutions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of kitchen production.
  • Provides ongoing training and coaching to help team members improve their skills and performance with kitchen leads.
  • Maintains training standards on production shifts.
  • Identifies and resolves performance barriers in the kitchen.
  • Inspires and develops teams to work together towards company goals.
  • Makes recommendations for performance recognition and reviews.
  • Assist in establishing performance monitoring processes to track performances.
  • Plans initial and ongoing training shifts..
  • Communicates training goals and strategic plans to the Production Manager.
  • Provides resources and support to team members to help them achieve performance goals
The pay for this position is an average of $22.00 $25.00 per hour (base wage shift differential tip share)*
*base wage discussed depending on experience.
