As an FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Analyst at DQE you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and strategic decisionmaking through insightful analysis and forecasting. You will work closely with various stakeholders across the organization to provide valuable insights that support the achievement of business objectives and financial targets.Must be local to the Pittsburgh area.Hybrid work environment.

Job Summary:
As an FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Analyst at DQE you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and strategic decisionmaking through insightful analysis and forecasting. You will work closely with various stakeholders across the organization to provide valuable insights that support the achievement of business objectives and financial targets.Must be local to the Pittsburgh area.Hybrid work environment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of longterm financial plans and strategic financial analyses.
- Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct indepth analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends opportunities and risks.
- Prepare and present financial reports including monthly/quarterly management reports and adhoc analyses.
- Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives and investment opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting scenario analysis and decisionmaking.
- Continuously refine forecasting methodologies to improve accuracy and relevance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks to assess business performance.
- Track and analyze financial and operational metrics to measure progress against targets.
- Provide insights into drivers of performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with various departments including Finance Operations Sales and Marketing to understand business drivers and support crossfunctional initiatives.
- Partner with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey financial concepts to nonfinancial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel NetSuite and relevant software.
- Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis preferably in the telecommunications industry or related sectors.
