Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Transmission Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing automatic and manual transmissions ensuring vehicles run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose transmission issues and perform repairs rebuilds or replacements as necessary.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on transmission systems.
- Collaborate with service advisors to communicate findings and repair options to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements related to transmission systems.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in automotive repair preferred.
- Proven experience as a transmission technician or in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmission systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a customeroriented mindset.
- ASE certification in transmission repair is a plus.
