Note: This recruitment will be used to fill oncall (relief) positions. An oncall employee is an employee whose appointment is intermittent irregular or is normally less than halftime but may work up to 35 hours in a work week. Oncall positions may be just the right fit for a person with minimal outside responsibilities and who may not want to always have the same routine. The ideal candidate for oncall work must be flexible in their scheduling and be willing to compromise.

As part of the Animal Health team you will be performing a variety of veterinary procedures such as conducting health exams administering vaccinations and medical treatments performing diagnostics and recording findings and assessments. You may also assist veterinarians in surgery including intubation inducing/monitoring animals under anesthesia and performing humane euthanasia.

Specifically we are looking for someone who:

  • Has the knowledge and ability to handle animals using lowstress and safe handling methods for animals that may have limited behavior information.

  • Provides a high level of professional customer service for both internal and external customers and performs duties while working effectively with diverse and sometimes difficult clientele.

  • Is detail oriented and thorough in all assignments and tasks
