Job Description
Job Summary:
We are currently searching for a motivated energetic and detailorientated entry level Project Engineer to work within our multidisciplinary team. In this role you will be responsible for interfacing with multiple project teams ensuring project goals have been met and executing company objectives. You must have a technical background and be able to work independently. You must also have excellent analytical and problemsolving skills as well as be proficient in Visio Word and Excel. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who want to kickstart their career in project engineering. This position will primarily be located in The Woodlands TX but will required travel to Viking Engineerings Corporate location.
Essential Duties& Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in planning coordinating and managing project activities from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Prepare update and maintain project schedules budgets and documentation.
- Support the preparation of technical reports presentations and project proposals.
- Develop Visio Workflows
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders including clients and team members to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during project .
- Ensure compliance with safety environmental and regulatory standards.
- Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with crossfunctional project teams fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders providing updates on project status risks and issues.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned project(s) ensuring clear and transparent communication among all team members and stakeholders.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Proactively identify potential project risks and issues and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
- Handle project issues changes and escalations in a timely manner.
- Ensure that project risks are communicated to all stakeholders and that mitigation plans are in place.
- Project Delivery and Evaluation:
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet the agreedupon scope quality standards and timelines.
- Monitor and track project progress adjusting as needed to ensure successful completion
Experience & Education:
- Bachelors degree in engineering is required. 15 years)
- Bachelors degree in chemical engineering is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software (e.g. MS Project or similar tools).
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
