You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Bar Processor you will play a crucial role in our fastpaced metal manufacturing environment. Your primary responsibility will be to process bars (shearing punching or gauging) to precise dimensions and tolerances as specified in job travelers. This entrylevel position requires a keen understanding of measurements and a commitment to producing highquality work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Material Preparation: Review job travelers to determine the required material process and machinery. Set up and adjust machines to meet specified dimensions ensuring each piece aligns with our commitment to Make it Right and Ship When Promised.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all operating procedures process instructions and safety protocols reflecting our principle of honoring our commitments with integrity and excellence.
Quality Production: Produce products that meet quality guidelines maintaining production levels and demonstrating our passion for delivering highquality workmanship.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts showcasing industriousness and a commitment to sustaining our future by caring for company resources.
Organization: Organize and identify materials in racks coils or bundles ensuring efficient workflow and supporting our objective to be the firstchoice organization.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members assisting with setups and changeovers embodying our value of caring to earn trust through understanding and responsiveness.
Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and time sheets to manage inventory and job costs reflecting our commitment to integrity and excellence.
Workplace Maintenance: Maintain clean and organized personal and common work areas demonstrating care for our workplace and colleagues.
Continuous Improvement: Recognize and report defects and participate in crosstraining as assigned contributing to our principle of transforming ourselves through learning and innovation.
Education Work Experience and Proficiencies:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret job travelers procedures and instructions.
Proficiency in reading tape measures and scales performing mathematical operations with whole numbers and fractions in both standard and metric units.
Experience with various hand and power tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a teamoriented mindset.
Preferred: Experience in CNC operation tool and die change/setup and over one year of overhead crane and forklift operation.
Physical Demands:
Engage in repetitive movements including standing walking stooping bending reaching grasping pushing and pulling materials of various sizes and weights for extended periods.
Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques and available resources.
Work Environment:
Operate within a production floor setting requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Exposure to noise dust heat and cold with adherence to safety rules and standards to mitigate machine and tool hazards.
