We have a brandnew opportunity for a Senior Design and Technical Manager to join our Growth and Development team at Platform Housing Group. Our Growth and Development Team is an exciting place to be. We have a growing new build development programme across a very large geography and as a market leader we are looking for someone to join our team to help further our reputation as a go to partner in the market.

This is a brandnew role within the organisation and is a great opportunity for someone with expertise in Housing development to shape the role and function.
What could you be doing as our Senior Design and Technical Manager
The role will be responsible for leading and designing the technical aspects of our development projects. As a subject matter expert you will ensure that new housing schemes are designed and delivered in an efficient costeffective way that is compliant with building regulations.
As Senior Design and Technical Manager you will oversee planning applications and undertake technical appraisals for projects completing relevant reports to provide recommendations. You will oversee delivery of sites aligned with our specification and design guide ensuring alignment with sustainability targets and best practice.
You will be overseeing the handover of technical information to the development team and liaising with Quality and PostConstruction teams to resolve any technical issues. As a subject matter expert youll provide guidance and support to team members fostering a culture of learning and development.
Some of the things we are looking for:
- Proven experience within the development department of a national or large regional commercial housebuilding organisation or registered provider.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations NHBC standards planning legislation and sustainability frameworks.
- You will have the ability to interpret information carry out research analysing complex data and making sound judgements. You will be able to design economically and understand the commercial aspects of design decisions.
- Alongside your technical expertise you will be a natural leader of people with the ability to convey thoughts and express ideas effectively in individual or group situations.
- A proven track record of delivering results in a fast paced and changing environment.
- While this role is home based you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park Worcester.
