Prelude Australia is a notforprofit organisation dedicated in supporting children (birth to 12 years) with developmental delays and disabilities. We deliver early childhood intervention and therapy services under the NDIS Medicare and Private Services.

We are currently looking for a Physiotherapist on a part time or fulltime basis across our Kurri Kurri and Maitland sites.

About the Physiotherapist Role:

You will directly lead supports as the Key Worker with the family developing a holistic picture of the child and family and deliver routinesbased interventions. The Key Worker also acts as a link between the family and the transdisciplinary team and coordinates consultative services from other team members through joint visits consultation and direct services as required based on the childs and familys individual needs. You will directly or indirectly provide support as a consultant on the childs team.

Outcomes of the role:

• Functional outcomes: Provide early childhood intervention and evidencebased therapy by assisting their mobility strength and coordination to maximise function and participation in movement at home school and in the community.
• Capacity building: Enhance families and other key caregivers capabilities to support their children through experiences and opportunities that strengthen knowledge and skills and to promote the use of interestbased learning opportunities with children.
• Meaningful participation: Trial and prescribe assistive technology such as standing frames and wheelchairs to enhance mobility posture and independence.
• Collaboration: Build strong collaborative relationships with families and support informed decisionmaking on interventions that fit into everyday routines and activities to help achieve families prioritised goals.
• Creating Opportunities: Engage in a range of professional development activities to grow your capabilities and confidence and in turn complement outcomes for children and families.
• Team approach: Participate in collaborative teamwork with other professionals (such as specialist teams support coordinators and local area coordinators) to provide quality comprehensive and holistic services.

What will you bring to the role

• Hold a qualification in Physiotherapy with AHPRA registration.
• Experience working with children including children living with developmental delay and disability.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with families and stakeholders (such as Teachers and other professionals).
• Excellent time management and planning skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team.
• Knowledgeable of early childhood intervention practices.
• Committed to professional learning and growth.

Special Conditions

• Drivers licence and own vehicle
• Hold a current First Aid /CPR and Working with children check
• Obtain a NDIS Worker Screener
