As a Road Freight Planner you will be responsible for coordinating road transport ensuring efficient and safe transit of goods. As Road Freight Planner you would be responsible for:

  • Transport Coordination: Manage the transport process from start to finish including planning and organizing trucks for the transportation of goods.
  • Documentation: Prepare and verify transport documents such as consignment notes and customs documents.
  • Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients and carriers; maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve logistical issues that may arise during transportation.
  • Rate Negotiations: Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure costeffective solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations regarding transport and logistics.


Requirements
  • Education: A bachelors degree in logistics transport management or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Proven experience in the logistics sector preferably in a role as a freight forwarder or transport planner.
  • Language Skills: A good command of Dutch French and English is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills problemsolving abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Process Improvement Focus: Strong interest and experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in transport operations.
  • Computer Skills: Good knowledge of logistics software and Microsoft Office (Excel Word); experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Customer Orientation: Strong customeroriented mindset with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs. You can handle work pressure well.
