Job Description

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH) Division of Maternal Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH) is seeking a Contract Program Analyst to support the Care First Community Investment (CFCI) Doula Program. Reporting to the CFCI Doula Program Coordinator this position will provide operational support and coordination to assure program effectiveness.

The mission of the LA County DPH AAIMM CFCI Doula Program is to improve birth experiences reduce pregnancy and parentingrelated stress and ensure clients do not deliver alone while incarcerated. The goal is to change the way incarcerated pregnant and parenting individuals receive assistance and ensure they do not have to navigate complicated and discriminatory systems alone.

The Contract Program Analyst will support the implementation of program objectives including onsite meetings at Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF) while maintaining the quality and accuracy of programrelated process and outcome data. As part of the MCAH Perinatal Innovation Unit the Analyst will work in coordination with other MCAH doula initiatives and the African American Infant and Maternal Mortality Prevention Initiative (AAIMM).

This is a fulltime benefitted position

The pay rate for this position is $37.11 per hour.

Employment is provided by Heluna Health.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in the implementation monitoring and evaluation of the CFCI Doula Program.
  • Attend all doula cohort and program operations meetings; take and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Support the planning coordination and logistics of doula trainings.
  • Lead and manage the client enrollment process including screening prospective clients and assigning those referred by CRDF.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of doula agreements ensuring proper documentation of doula logs invoices client enrollments and data forms.
  • Coordinate the provision of client incentives and oversee related procurement processes.
  • Support the development and dissemination of program presentations funder reports and outreach materials including flyers.
  • Participate in regular AAIMM team meetings and ongoing checkins with the Program Coordinator.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • Three years of experience in an administrative or staff capacity assisting in the planning developing monitoring evaluating or auditing of health or social service contracts or programs

OR

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited fouryear college and two years experience providing direct health or social program services one year of which must have been in program planning and evaluation program development research and analysis or other administrative functions.

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of the social determinants of health.

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances

  • A valid California Class C drivers license proof of vehicle insurance and reliable transportation or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out jobrelated essential functions.
  • Successful clearance of LA County Live Scan required.
