Job Description
CNC Machinist
SUMMARYThe CNC Machinist is responsible for the setup and operation of a variety of computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools to produce or repair/refurbish precision parts in conformance with the Companys requirements for safety cost schedule and quality.
KEY DETAILS
- Position: CNC Machinist 3rd Shift)
- Shift Hours: 6:30 PM start 8 to 12hour shift (overtime may be required)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with occasional weekend OT
- Pay Rate: Starts at $22.00 per hour flexible based on experience
- Location: 2250 Atlanta Hwy. Gainesville GA 30504
- Set up operate and adjust CNC mills and lathes to machine precision parts per specifications.
- Program CNC machines by entering instructions setting tool registers offsets and compensations.
- Measure and verify workpieces using tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and adjust machine operations to maintain product quality and minimize downtime.
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance to keep machines in proper working condition.
- Monitor feed rates machine speeds and equipment performance to ensure efficient operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize machining processes and resolve any technical issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Dispose of s and waste materials according to company and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate production logs document quality issues and communicate information between shifts.
- Support ongoing projects ensuring all tasks are completed in compliance with safety standards.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations and ensure proper PPE is used during tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations and project needs.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two 2 years of experience in CNC Machining
- Manual machining experience preferred but not required
- Trade school or vocational training preferred but not required
- Familiarity with OSHA and Company safety requirements
- Collaborative openminded and professional communication style and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with employees across every responsibility level
