Position Overview:

Join our client in shaping the future of aviation!Our client is seeking an experiencedTechnical Project Managerto enhance their team. Their Ideal candidate will be proficient in leading development implementation and quality control of complex and numerous activities and leading the companys project team in the of consulting activities for a financial Program Management Office (PMO).

This role supports the Federal Aviation Administration which is responsible for ensuring the safety of 45000 flights and 3 million passengers traversing over 28 million miles of U.S. controlled airspace every day. In addition to providing air traffic control and safety oversight for civilian aviation the FAA also works in lockstep with the Department of Defense and other government agencies to ensure the security of our nation. A key component of that coordination involves the collaborative use of aviation tools and data.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager with a strong financial program management background. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the tracking and management of financial resources for a variety of engineering projects ensuring transparency and compliance in the allocation and use of funds. This role demands a combination of leadership project management expertise and financial oversight with a focus on ensuring that the funds are allocated efficiently and that financial processes are welldocumented.

A successful candidatemust have aminimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience with 5 or more years addressing the areas of project management. The candidate will support the client under the direction of the consulting engagement lead the project manager will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the development of detailed project plans for ongoing task order development and quality control.
  • Support a diverse team of professional consultants to include subcontractors.
  • Prepare andmaintainproject documentation ensuring currency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and provide documentation to technical and nontechnical personnel across lines of business.
  • Provide support to client staff for adhoc project management questions and inquiries.
  • As needed provide support to review other ongoing client program management plans.
  • Would be expected to continue toprofessionally growto take on increasingly complex tasks and roles with the client and within the company.

Requirements


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting business finance law contracts purchasing economics industrial management marketing quantitative methods or organization and management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMI PMP) Certification or equivalent.
  • 10 years professional experience.
  • 5 years project management experience preferably with government clients.
  • Experience supporting the FAA or other US Government clients.
  • Eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading and managing teams of consultants for government agency clients such as Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
  • Experience with Federal agency reimbursable agreements.
  • Aviation experience.
