Description
Up to $18.00/hour!Responsible for providing 1:1 personal care skill development supervision and training for children and young adults with special health care needs in a childs home and integrated community settings.
Schedule
MF business hours occasional evenings and weekends
What Youll Do
- Implement care plan of each service area by conducting baselines/assessments and following plans appropriate for each service area requirements. Teach and support children/young adults in mastering goal areas as identified in the care plan.
- Assure timely documentation of each service area expectations.
- Meet all personal care and daily living needs of children/young adults which may include feeding toileting etc.
- Become trained for medication administration seizures and gtube feedings as well as other specialized trainings needed.
- Build professional interactions between children/young adults families staff and volunteers.
- Follow all safety procedures according to ChildServe Guidelines and Policies and communicate with oncall supervisors as needed regarding emergency situations safety behavioral concerns or major adverse events.
- Complete other duties related to service operations as assigned.
What Youll Need
- Maintain positive working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with others both verbally and in writing and foster effective relationships with coworkers children and families.
- Must exercise confidentiality regarding the affairs of clients staff their families and ChildServe
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to proficiently learn new software programs.
- Ability to communicate in English effectively for understanding in writing and verbally.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the assigned work area and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
- Must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServeauthorized driver. This includes passing a Motor Vehicle Record Check car safety check and able to provide a valid drivers license and insurance.
Education:High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:A minimum of 1 year professional experience working with children with special health care needs preferred.
