Fire Installer V

What you will do
This skilled position involves installing programming troubleshooting configuring commissioning and servicing Fire Alarm Systems. Working knowledge of Access Control and CCTV Systems as well as other related building systems are a plus.

Repair/reprogram device replacement/repair resolving low voltage circuit troubles and system testing.

Organize and effectively utilize technical resources information material and support to assure efficient of all assigned tasks

Position involves the programming of fire alarm security and access control system panels but will primarily focus on fire alarm systems. Knowledge of voicebased systems and networks required.

How you will do it

• Perform installation/programming on fire alarm systems.

• Respond to customer service calls in a timely and efficient manner troubleshoot and repair as needed

• Will be to participate in afterhours service program. (This is a rotation with several techs and can be flexible to schedule as needed.

• Communicate with project manager/operations manager on current projects and receive updates on outstanding customer issues.

• Read and interpret blueprints diagrams submittals specifications software/systems programs schematics and operational/product manuals.

• Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer and contract specifications.

• Complete and submit all required taskrelated activity productivity and other documentation in a timely manner.

What we look for

• At least 5 years experience in low voltage electrical systems primarily Fire/Life Safety Systems. Access Control CCTV and Security Systems are a plus!

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints submittals and operational/product manuals.

• Experience with hand tools test equipment multimeter usage digital analyzer and commissioning devices.

• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50 lbs.

• Able to work off ladders scaffolding and lift equipment up to 40 feet above ceilings etc. (Typically this is only for testing. Our installation team does the heavy lifting!

• Working hour are MF 7 AM 3:30 PM. There may be times when we work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.

• Demonstrate a high level of customer service.

• Ability to lead & work well with team members.

• Ability to adhere to implement and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.

• Strong organizational skills positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly.

• Possess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets company requirements.

• Able to pass a preemployment background and drug test.

• Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures.

Preferred

• Twoyear Associates Degree in Electronics; Network; Computer Science or related field

• NICET level II or ability to obtain in first year.
