Job Description

The Retention and Enrollment Services Specialist will assist Enrollment Managements retention efforts and support at risk continuing students navigating enrollment barriers to degree progression and completion. This role requires outreach and direct contact with current and former LMU students as well as strong collaboration with internal stakeholders across the University.

Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Conducts outreach to atrisk continuing students to facilitate retention and success.
  • Partners closely with the Office of the Registrar and Financial Aid among other key units to address identified student challenges.
  • Collaborates with the Universitys academic colleges and schools on outreach to atrisk continuing students.
  • Counsels returning undergraduate students on the return from leave of absence or readmissions process.
  • Process and evaluate the applications for students returning via readmission.
  • Demonstrates a high level of commitment to customer service.

Requisite Qualifications

  • Typically a Masters Degree or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge skills and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in university admission financial aid or other area of higher education.
  • Ability to use superior judgment sensitivity and discretion.
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral).
  • Highly developed organizational and leadership skills and attention to detail with an ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Demonstrated computer and technical competency.

Salary range

$28.94 $36.20 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
