Job Summary
Through their work securing major gifts and forging relationships The Leadership Gift Officer will have the ability to significantly impact the Colleges principal commitments including access and opportunity for all deserving students a lifechanging academic experience and support for career exploration leveraging the Bowdoin network as students become graduates. This position is one of eight leadership gift officers tasked with building relationships and raising major gifts from individuals connected to Bowdoin College. Bowdoin is in the public phase of a $500 million multiyear comprehensive campaign that runs through June 2024. Responsibilities include identification cultivation solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects and donors from within the alumni parent and friends communities; maximizing capital and annual gifts to the College; establishing longterm relationships with major donors; working in collaboration with other offices in development and alumni relations and across campus to meet the colleges fundraising objectives. This position will include management of one or more geographic regions possibly including significant parts of the Midwest and greater New York City.
