Job Description
- Able to read and understand machine drawings and have working knowledge of symbols for fit finish and tolerance.
- Able to set up and operate manual mills lathes drill presses grinders and all other related machinery.
- Ability to read micrometers Vernier scales dial indicators and all other related hand tools of the trade.
- Ability to understand inch and metric measuring systems as well as a mechanical aptitude and knowledge of math basic triangles and circle geometry.
- Ability to recognize industrial machine operational issues.
- Ability to use/operate power tools equipment and supplies utilized in precision machining operations including but not limited to lathes milling machines shapers & grinders as well as forklift and overhead crane.
- Capable of problem solving.
- Must have ability to withstand prolonged standing walking squatting bending kneeling.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to lift above shoulder height.
- Must be able to work from a ladder when required.
- Must be able to tolerate work area that is not aircondition controlled.
- Safety sensitive position momentary loss of judgement could cause serious injury or death
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a machine job shop
