Primary Purpose:
As a Structural Engineer at Guidon Design you will play a critical role in the design and of structural projects working closely with clients Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and effective solutions. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and designing structural systems preparing construction documents and ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will also be involved in site inspections collaborating with architects engineers and contractors to address project challenges and provide technical guidance. In addition to your technical expertise you will contribute to project planning budgeting and scheduling ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within scope. Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural)
Professional Licensure
Expert experience in their field
Possess 10 years of experience
Skills / Qualities:
Experience with castinplace and precast concrete steel framing wood structures
Strong experience working in Revit
Experience editing project specifications
Above average attention to detail
Proactive and assertive in problem solving
Experience managing parallel assignments
Good written oral communications staff management and client relationship skills
Concern for the exact correctness of work
Strong work ethic and a drive to exceed client expectations
Experience in healthcare related projects a plus
Somewhat faster than average pace of work strongly desired
Responsibilities
Design new construction and renovation projects from concept to construction
Support project managers as part of the design process
Direct junior engineers working on an assigned project
Attend client meetings and design review meetings
Onsite construction administration and site inspection visits to assess the quality of construction
Detailed engineering work is a major focus
Plan focus and complete the tasks on hand
Position will be very task oriented requiring individual to be conservative careful and cautious with work
Coordination within a multidisciplinary project team
