The State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Phoenix is seeking a Service Corrections Teacher Corrections Education to instruct the inmates at the institution in Warehouse Operations and Material Handling. In this position you will help inmates learn vocational skills that they will be able to utilize upon reentry into their communities. As a Service Occupations Teacher you will provide vocational instruction in warehouse operations and material handling to inmate students at SCI Phoenix. In this position you will evaluate inmate potential for consideration and placement within the programs curriculum and adapt materials to meet the needs of students. You can expect to provide classroom and shop instruction assign and evaluate homework develop and administer tests and provide a final evaluation for each enrolled student. You will also monitor inmate behavior establish classroom rules and procedures and discipline disruptive students by taking appropriate corrective action and documenting said actions.
