Job Description:
This role is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a comprehensive student development program and for the administrative operation of a residential community. The expectation is that this is accomplished through interactions with students and staff both inside and outside of the office environment. Initiatives in this area are valued and celebrated. Emphasis is placed on creating a community where the student experience is positive and staff provides excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in education education administration or closely related field required with masters degree in higher education student affairs or closely related field preferred or 4 years of applicable experience in lieu of masters degree can be accepted.
Commitment to social justice community advocacy and working with students of diverse backgrounds is required.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Supervisory experience.
Ability to work successfully in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with higher education student conduct student counseling conflict management highly preferred.
Two to Four 25 years of experience managing residence facilities including any graduate level experience in a residence hall
Student conduct experience.
Emergency and crisis response skills.
Experience working with Living Learning Communities and/or themed communities.
