We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual Caregiver to provide highquality care and support to individuals in need including the elderly individuals with disabilities or those recovering from illness. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills a nurturing attitude and the ability to communicate effectively in both English andSpanish.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene meal preparation and medication management.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Communicate effectively with clients and their families in both English and Second Language ensuring understanding of care plans and needs.
Help clients with mobility and physical activities including exercises and walking assistance.
Monitor and record clients health status reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Assist with household tasks such as cleaning laundry and grocery shopping as needed.
Respect clients privacy and dignity while providing care.
Participate in training and development opportunities to continually improve caregiving skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in caregiving or healthcare preferred.
Proven experience as a caregiver personal support worker or similar role.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Second Language is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Ability to handle the physical demands of the job including lifting and assisting clients.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation may be required.
Working Conditions:
The caregiver may work in clients homes assisted living facilities or healthcare settings.
Flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays may be required based on client needs.
