Job Description
We are building a world class systematic data platform which will power next generation of our systematic portfolio engines.
We are looking for a core software engineer that will work for our Systematic Data Platform group. The hire will be responsible for expanding and optimizing the architecture of our data platform and data tools as well as building data related application for crossfunctional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain optimal data platform architecture and implementation
- Build data applications and tools to help data onboarding and provide actionable insights into data discovery / permissioning operational efficiency and other key business metrics.
- Identify design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes optimizing data delivery redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability and availability etc.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
- Work with stakeholders from both the business and technology to assist with datarelated technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Create data and analytical tools for internal customers that assist them in building and optimizing our data organization into an innovative industry leader.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Qualifications:
- 3 years working experience with Bachelor degree in Computer Science Statistics Informatics Information Systems or another quantitative field.
- Experience with objectoriented/objectfunctionlanguages: Python Java Scala etc.
- Strong algorithms and data structures
- Experience with databases e.g. SQL Server Oracle Redshift BigQuery SnowFlake.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Can work independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Can handle several projects with different priorities at the same time in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent selfmanagement and problemsolving skills.
