Job Description

THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Clerk Typist 1 performs routine clerical work involving the typing and processing of documents in a variety of functions. This includes typing handwritten information onto forms letters and charts proofreading to ensure accuracy. Work involves filing and retrieving materials by systematically sorting and storing documents alphabetically numerically chronologically or using similar filing methods. As a receptionist you will have the opportunity to greet visitors direct individuals to proper office locations screen and route telephone calls and open and sort mail. Additionally you will receive applications documents forms and fees directly from the public for further processing.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Fulltime employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with 30minute lunch.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Possession of the required knowledges skills and abilities.

Legal Requirements:
  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police clearance PA Child Abuse history clearance and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
