Title: Equipment Maintenance Technician II Shift: FridaySunday 5:00am to 5:30pm
Position Objective This position entails providing support to the production floor by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment fixtures and systems (including mechanical electromechanical pneumatic and electrical). Responsibilities include evaluating and recommending equipment improvements to enhance availability capability and yield; performing equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance); and troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems
Primary Responsibilities - Prepare new machines for operation by following established protocols and procedures and perform regular technical testing to ensure their safety and efficiency.
- Conduct preventative and reliability maintenance checks on specialized test systems and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical signal electromechanical mechanical pneumatic network and software issues.
- Perform diagnostics to identify and resolve equipment/process related defects.
- Perform analysis and provide input to mitigate risk due to obsolete or highrisk equipment and parts.
- Perform more advanced system and equipment calibrations.
- Generate nonproduction work orders in the CMMS to address equipment tooling and test system defects as well as to replace parts and consumables ensuring all parts are issued to work orders via CMMS.
- Complete assigned work orders in the CMMS including building new cables and harnesses per provided schematics equipment assembly and installation and inspections.
- Track daily work through completion of work orders within CMMS.
- Attend required tiered meetings to support areas of responsibility and improvement.
- Stay on task with no supervision and minimal direction.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Prioritize response to requests from production for equipment trouble calls
- Provide recommendations for PM periodicity changes based off of usage and previous calibration data
- Contribute to risk assessments and safety studies during the development or enhancement of equipment and systems.
- Setup program operate and monitor equipment for various product applications as directed by engineers.
Required Education and Experience
- 2year degree from an accredited university or vocational school in Electrical Mechanical Engineering related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of technical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in Electrostatic Discharge Protection (ESD) practices including set up and verification of Electrostatic Protection Areas.
- Should be familiar with reading and manipulating multiple data formats.
- Understanding of NFPA 70 IPCA610 JSTD001 ANSI S20.20 and WHMA A620.
- Ability to read understand and develop electrical and mechanical schematics for diagnosis and repair.
- Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office Suite and CMMS. Familiarity with Agile and Aegis is preferred.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities None.
Travel Requirement None to less than 10.
