Bay Cove Academy is a therapeutic day school that specializes in traumainformed services for students ages 1222 with complex trauma histories mental health issues educational challenges and/or behavioral difficulties. Bay Cove Academy offers students a supportive environment that addresses their education clinical prevocational recreational and behavioral needs. Individual group nursing and milieu counseling are provided.
What Youll Do:
Bay Cove Academy is seeking a highly organized and professional candidate to serve as a licensed Special Education teacher with experience teaching middle and high school aged students. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic patient and have experience teaching content area subjects while utilizing and applying the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with students in a clinically appropriate manner while maintaining a challenging learning environment. Experience working with students in an alternative school setting is preferred. Bay Cove Academy uses an interdisciplinary approach working collaboratively with the educational clinical nursing and vocational departments.
