What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking an Athletics Performance Coach Olympic Sports to support the mission and vision of the University within the Athletics Department.

A Bachelors Degree and at two years of relevant work experience is required. A Masters and a three years of relevant work experience is preferred. This position also requires one of the two national certifications: CSCS or SCCC. All applicants need First Aid CPR and AED certifications. Once obtained all certifications must remain current and not expired. Selfstarter who works efficiently. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong organizational and communication skills. Must be able to collaborate with sport coaches and team support staff members to provide appropriate physical preparation programming to studentathletes and teams. Collect monitor and disseminate performance and wellness metrics. Knowledge of and adherence to Baylor University Big 12 Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis.

What You Will Do

  • The Athletics Performance Coach Olympic Sports is responsible for directing and/or assisting the physical preparation of assigned teams through the use of sport specific scientifically based training programs that develop the qualities necessary to improve studentathletes performance and wellness and aid in injury risk mitigation.
  • This position will also have other sport assist and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
