Bar Harbor ME or Farmington CT

The Carter Lab has an opening for a postdoctoral associate in the computational biology of Alzheimers disease. This position will be part of our ongoing studies that seek to understand the origins progression and potential treatments of Alzheimers disease through multiple experimental platforms.

This position will be focused on a new collaborative project to characterize donorderived organoid models and assess their utility in precision medicine approaches to treating Alzheimers disease. This process encompasses a range of computational and systems biology approaches including big data analysis through dimensional reduction inference of disease relevance by comparison to matched human data and pharmacogenomic analysis of targeted therapies. This project is embedded in a broader set of studies using mouse and nonhuman primate models to enable unique crossspecies analysis to accelerate the discovery of treatments for dementia.

We are especially interested in candidates with systems biology expertise seeking to develop innovative ideas in translational data analysis. Our collaborative consortiumbased environment provides a rich data environment and opportunities for followup experimentation. We are dedicated to open science and establishing an inclusive culture to expand our vision of scientific progress.
