JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Development Lead Emerging Solutions acquires new business specifically in Yokogawas Asset Management/Predictive Maintenance Instrumentation Solutions. The BDL will focus on growing strategically targeted customers and opportunities within the focus product and solution category. Target industries may include but are not limited to Chemical/Petrochemical Oil & Gas Pharmaceutical Food and Beverage Automotive Steel and Pulp and Paper markets. The BDL is responsible for developing winning sales strategies with the capacity to work collaboratively with sales teams product management product marketing as well as the ability to deliver independently on sales calls and projects.

Responsibilities and results:

  • Ensures the achievement of the business plan and growth objectives for the Emerging Solutions Asset Management/Predictive Maintenance business.
  • Increase or establish business with target accounts for the specified portfolio. The BDR has a direct sales quota responsibility.
  • Develop relationships with each client/prospect at every level from the departmental line managers plant reliability engineering managers and advantageous shop floor operation technicians.
  • Prepares and develops strategic sales growth plans for target portfolio and value proposition.
  • Works closely with Product Management Product Marketing and other Yokogawa sales resources to collaborate and provide input on marketing strategies and business plans that will drive market adoption with direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Understand focus applications and market opportunities and be able to translate them into customer values that will most greatly impact the business. Recommend additional use applications based on findings in the field.
  • Identify and drive key differentiators that position the Yokogawa portfolio and solutions in a more advantageous position than competitor products.
  • Provide Voice of Customer feedback to Product Management based on conducted customer meetings and demonstrations.
  • Conduct demonstrations consultations and lead follow up for Emerging and Predictive Maintenance Solutions.
  • Maintain customer management system. (Salesforce)
  • Role will require up to 50 travel in assigned region.

Education and experience

  • Bachelors degree in engineering marketing business or applicable discipline. Equivalent industry experience may be substituted for education requirements.
  • 25 years of solution sales experience.
  • Asset Management/Predictive Maintenance Instrumentation solutions selling experience is a plus.
