Kitchen Manager I Ashbury Elementary School
5.5 hours per day / Monday Friday / 8:30 AM 2:30 PM
General Description: Ensures the efficient operation of an elementaryschool or central kitchen in order to produce attractive and nutritious meals for students and staff
Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent and current certification by the American School Food Service Association preferred.
Experience: Two years work experience in an institutional or school kitchen with progressive responsibility and supervisory experience Approved educational course work in food service supervision or related field may be substituted for work experience on a yearforyear basis. General computer experience preferred.
Other Requirements: Ability to establishand maintaineffective working relationships with supervisor employees students school staff and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to effectively supervise employees. Ability to performbasic mathematical calculations. Ability to operatea computer cashier terminal PIN pad and calculator. Working knowledge of the sanitation safety and meal requirements of the Nebraska Department of Health and the United States Department of Agriculture School Lunch Program and Food Distribution Program. Ability to maintain detailed records as required by regulatory agencies
