The Opportunity

Boughton Law is pleased to be expanding its Commercial Litigation Practice Group to meet business demands and to better serve our clients today and into the future. If you are a collaborative entrepreneurial and engaged lawyer who is continuously seeking to learn this could be a great opportunity to grow your practice. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals committed to client service excellence and receive excellent mentorship. Were currently searching for an Associate with three to five years of experience as well as lawyers with five or more years of experience in commercial litigation to join this growing team and provide our clients with excellent legal service.

The Role

The Commercial Litigation Group has experience and expertise in all aspects of commercial law including complex multiparty litigation. We provide our clients with guidance through a wide variety of matters such as commercial contract claims construction disputes real estate transactions franchise disputes commercial arbitrations insurance litigation environmental claims and intellectual property disputes. We represent clients before all levels of Canadian courts including the Supreme and Federal Courts of Canada provincial superior and appellate courts and various administrative tribunals. We provide counsel to First Nations in BC Alberta the Yukon and the Northwest Territories and represent First Nations at all Court levels on aboriginal and treaty rights. The ideal candidates will be talented detailoriented handson capable practitioners with a trackrecord of strong practice skills solid judgement entrepreneurial spirit and excellent client and interpersonal skills.

Additional information

The salary range for the role represents the Firms reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The starting salary is determined based on a number of factors including the successful candidates knowledge relevant experience and internal equity. If your experience exceeds 35 years of call the compensation would correspond and we welcome your inquiry as to specifics.
