Job Description
Job Description: Architect
Overview of the Position: ECOMPEX Inc. a premiere Government Contract (GovCon) service provider is seeking an Architect to provide supportive services for our government client. This position is onsite.
The ECOMPEX career position supports the following:
- Perform site visits and develop designs as required for renovation restoration and/or construction of modern or historic facilities.
- Prepare drawings technical specifications scope of work cost estimates and other documents as required for complex construction projects on sites with diverse climatic geographic and environmental conditions.
- Provide inhouse architectural and space planning expert advice and reviews.
- Coordinate with site contacts and multidiscipline design team members.
- Review and comment on submittals requests for information and work schedules as submitted by construction contractors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a Tier 1 government background investigation.
- Bachelors degree in Architecture or registration as a professional architect by a state District of Columbia Guam or Puerto Rico provided the state registration board uses standards that comply with the provisions recommended by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
- Experience managing multidisciplined multifaceted projects related to real property facilities.
- Architectural design experience and ability to prepare plans and details write specifications and perform technical calculations in support of design objectives and perform space planning and/or designs in compliance with nationally accepted building/seismic/life safety codes.
- Construction Management Experience including knowledge of acceptable current construction Building Codes in general procedures and practices materials and equipment used in the construction of buildings and public works facilities.
Primary work location: Onsite
Travel Expectations: Travel is required for this position.
