Job Description

BUILD Inc. (Broader Urban Involvement and Leadership Development) is presently seeking a committed selfmotivated and innovative individual to join our team. The Community Support Services (CSS) Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the CSS Manager in delivering traumafocused culturally aware and communitybased direct services to individuals youth and families impacted by community violence in the service areas of Austin Lawndale Garfield Park Humboldt Park Logan Square Belmont Cragin and Hermosa. The CSS Coordinator is responsible for the administrative and operational functions of the program including supporting wellness advocate teams ensuring grant compliance and promoting community engagement. The CSS reports directly to the Manager of Community Support Services (MCSS).


Responsibilities are but not limited to:

Team Coordination and Supervision:

  • Set up weekly canvassing for each team member.
  • Provide weekly task supervision to the team of case managers.
  • Conduct daily team huddles to provide ongoing support and address client needs.
  • Support Wellness Advocates in maintaining timely accurate and compliant documentation within the Apricot system to meet program and grant requirements.
  • Support formalized organizationalwide care coordination efforts
  • Participate in regular departmental case coordination meetings to ensure collaboration amongst internal and external program administrators

Program Planning and Delivery:

  • Assist with planning coordination and delivery of CSS programs and initiatives ensuring program quality and productivity standards are met.
  • Support the CSS Manager with biweekly/monthly training sessions for the team facilitating skillbuilding and program knowledge.
  • Ensure the seamless implementation of communitybased direct services including case management advocacy linkage and crisis in resource intervention.
  • Complete other duties at the discretion of management and CCW Leadership

Operational Support:

  • Assist with office inventory management and nonclientrelated office purchases.
  • Conduct office inventory checks and provide recommendations for office supplies or resources as needed.
  • Support the management of the Apricot case management system ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Support formalized organizationalwide care coordination efforts

Community Engagement and Representation:

  • Represent BUILD at community meetings and events to broaden community awareness and support.
  • Collaborate with other BUILD programs and external providers to ensure comprehensive wraparound services for clients.
  • Help create document and maintain relationships with partner organizations.

Program Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document and report on program activities and outcomes ensuring progress toward annual program objectives.
  • Attend weekly supervision with the Manager of Community Support Services to review progress receive guidance and address any challenges.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in agencywide fundraising and community events as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices by attending relevant coursework seminars and workshops.
  • Complete ESVF applications and attend weekly office hours if needed.
  • Maintain an understanding of relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all program requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Minimum of 3 years working with innercity youth or in a related human service traumainformed or social service setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and technology integration into program operations.
  • Ability to build and maintain respectful relationships with participants and staff from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Must be willing to provide communitybased services and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Drivers License: A valid drivers license automobile and current insurance are required.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
