Job Description
Midway Motors in McPherson is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our service team. If you have a passion for working on diesel engines and are looking for a collaborative fastpaced environment we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and related vehicle systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify necessary repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure all services are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Keep detailed records of services performed and parts used.
- Work collaboratively with team members to provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
- High attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
- ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

The employee must also be able to quickly move hands hand together with arm or both hands to grasp manipulate or assemble objects. The employee must be able to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp manipulate or assemble very small objects.
The employee must be able to stand for a majority of scheduled shift as well as frequently walk reach with arms and hands climb or balance and to stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision as well as color vision. Employee will frequently lift 25 pounds occasionally lift 50 pounds and rarely lift 100 pounds with assistance.
