Malden High School is committed to providing all students with a diverse studentcentered and rigorous curriculum that is adaptable enough to reach all learning styles and needs. We do this through offering a wide variety of academic and enrichment opportunities. As an urban school it is our great pride that we are among the leaders in Advanced Placement courses in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This year we have worked closely with the BARR Foundation to complete a comprehensive review of academic offerings instruction curriculum student data and schoolwide focus on areas of need. As a result of the data collected we will focus on improving the transition from middle school to high school as well as establishing a vision for MHS and its students as they move through high school and prepare for college and career. We have also continued our work to help us move towards increasing our Student Growth Percentile (SGP) in ELA and Math MCAS.
Malden High School offers a wide variety of enrichment opportunities for students including division 1 varsity junior varsity and freshman level athletics robust theater choral and band programs and over 70 clubs and organizations. We recognize a need to serve the many new English Language Learners in our population and are examining a variety of programs and methods to better serve them to ensure academic success.
Early College Aide (ECA)
Malden High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early College Aide (ECA) to support the Early College Program. This role is essential in helping students navigate the challenges of collegelevel coursework while fostering their academic growth selfconfidence and readiness for future college and career success.
Position Overview:
The Early College Aide will work closely with students and staff providing supervision and support as students complete college courses through Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) during the MHS school day. The role includes tracking student progress facilitating study groups assisting with assignments and collaborating with program staff to address academic attendance and socialemotional needs.

Program Goal:
The Early College Program aims to bridge the gap between high school college and career by empowering students to take ownership of their future. Students in grades 10 11 and 12 can participate at no cost including free classes textbooks and materials. Through the partnership with BHCC students earn college credits and develop professional and practical skills.
Responsibilities:
Supervision and Support: (approximately 6 hours per week)
Academic Assistance: (approximately 5 hours a week)
Provide targeted support during study hall including:
Conduct weekly checkins with students enrolled in selfpaced BHCC courses to track andencourage progress.
Collaboration and Reporting: (approximately 3 hours per week)
SkillBuilding: (approximately 5 hours per week)
Qualifications:
Compensation:$25/hour up to 19 hours week
Reports To:Director of School Counseling & MHS Principal
